Today, while looking through some prints that I have in the studio I came across one of a painting called Limberlost Wood that I made in 2016. I realised that I hadn't made a painting like it for YEARS so today I started one. It's an A3 and having feel so wretched and run down over the last few days it's actually cheered me up a bit. Here's a photo of the new painting so far. I hope that you like it.

Not something that one sees regularly. Although we did find an inflatable alligator underneath the gangplank a couple of years ago and little rubber ducks turn up occasionally after escaping the duck's race each summer. Anyone with sad dog bereft of squeaky toy after losing Old Major in the Stour please contact me.

I've decided to start a new series of drawings called Idyll. Ever since I was very small (difficult to imagine now) I have been in love with tucked away solitary buildings. I suppose it speaks of some antisocial part of my psychology but I prefer to think of it as a reflection of my love of the countryside and the desire for quiet and peace. This is number 1. It's available from me or Etsy
